The Dixie Dart Association is governed by the Association Bylaws, which is comprised of 17 Articles.  Any member has access to the Bylaws by contacting their team captain (each captain should have a copy) or clicking the "Bylaws" link located on each page of this web site.  Additionally, one of the Articles will be displayed at the bottom of this page.  A different Bylaw  will be displayed periodically.

 

We will be continuing the League Match Score Submission process whereby the Home Team Captains send a photo of the completed scoresheet to scores@dixiedart.com.  Since this process is not yet in the Bylaws it is still voluntary, however a Bylaw change form has been submitted to the Association to make it a regular part of the score submission process.

  • Electronic Scoring was voted down.  You may use a calculator to figure scores, but scores must be written on a Scoreboard.

  Ten Commandments of Scorekeeping:
1 - Thou shall not talk while keeping score.

2 - Thou shall not move about -- STAND STILL!

3 - Thou shall not look at the shooter. Stand facing the board.

4 - Thou shall not call out the score of a dart until all darts have been thrown -- unless asked.

5 - Thou shall not tell a shooter what to shoot.

6 - Thou shall not tell a shooter what combinations to shoot for an out.

7 - Thou shall not change a score if that player or team has shot again and a second score is written down.

8 - Thou shall not lean out to see where a dart is or follow the darts with head movement.

9 - Thou shall not show any signs of disgust or excitement while scoring.

10 - Thou shall not change sides of the scoreboard of the players (or teams). If you start a team or player on the left, leave them on the left, regardless of the bull shot.

ARTICLE XI ESTABLISHED TEAM STATUS:

 

    A.  Established teams are teams that completed the last scheduled season, including teams that were down to four (4) players and meet the minimum requirements listed below.

 

    B.  Established teams will play in the League for which the team is qualified, after the last game of the last scheduled season.

        1.  Provided the team consists of four (4) members of the original team and any two (2) members that are qualified to shoot in that league.

        2.  The team must consist of at least four (4) players eligible to play the next season.
